A Natural Touch to Hair! Apple Cidar Vinegar Hair Mask, and Rinse

Hey guys!

So I am trying to do as much as I can to learn more about living an all natural- organic life.

I have been doing lots of different things, from organic GMO FREE food, of course drinking my Shakeology daily, to pureeing my own baby food, using the Honest Company Diapers, and Young Living Essential oils to replace the medications and other chemical filled products in our cupboards.

So last night I tried something NEW. :)

I tried a hair mask that is supposed to help strip the chemicals out. I don't know all the details of how it actually works, but I do know that it made my hair feel AMAZING!

So this is what I did....

STEP 1:
Hair Mask- 2 parts Honey, 2 parts coconut oil, and 1 part coconut oil. I did 2 tbls of Honey, 2 tbls of coconut oil, and 1 tbls of Apple Cider Vinegar.

I think next time I do it I will do a little more because I have think long hair. But this covered pretty well, I left it on for 1 hour and it did not smell very good. LOL

STEP 2:
I then rinsed that out and made a Shampoo with Baking soda.

1 pump Shampoo & 2 tbls of Baking soda.

I mixed the baking soda with a little of my own Shampoo because I didn't feel like it was washing the Honey out. My hair felt really tangled and oily, like thick. So I was really nervous but I continued on, and then used 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar with 1/2 cup warm water as a "conditioner", I dumped it over my head and only rinsed it out a little.

STEP 3:
I combed my hair out as good as I could and then put Moroccan oil in it to help with the tangles and smell. At this point I was really nervous because it was very tangled and still felt oily. I decided to just to let it dry while I slept.

When I woke up I was SHOCKED! My hair has NEVER felt this soft, and relaxed, it felt so clean and was so easy to manage. SO I will continue this method! I am also going to see how long I can go without Shampooing- and try to only use the baking soda! :)

Not the BEST pictures but Ill do a before and after when I do it again! It feels so clean! :)

These are the sites I found most helpful for this! :)

Thanks!

xoxo Steph
