How To Eat Healthy

Happy Monday!!!!

Are you having a hard time with what to eat to help you lose weight? 

Did you know that you can lose weight even without working out?!? 

I have some simple tips on how you can lose weight just by changing what you eat! 

   10 Simple Tips To Eating Healthy
1. Cut out sugar as much as you can.
2. Cut our carbs as much as you can EXCEPT complex carbs (anything with whole grain in the title).
3. Try to drink a gallon of water a day.
4. Stick with large portions of GREENS (broccoli, asparagus, spinach).
5. Start your day with eggs and it will help with cravings.
6. Try to keep carb (reg and complex) eating to the morning.
7. Cut out milk and switch to almond milk
8. If you eat fruit, eat it in the morning or BEFORE your workout. 
9. Don't keep anything you don't want to eat in your house. 
10. Start making healthy meals for your family and they won't want to eat crap food anymore.

Weight Loss After Baby- 21 Day Fix Style



Look who just turned 2 Months old!?! 

I cannot believe how fast time flies!  Being a mom is a trip, being a mom to a brand new baby is even crazier. So many emotions,  prayers, and dirty laundry (LOL). 

To say I lost my (body) confidence after I had Larae would be an understatement, I can honestly say that the way your stomach, boobs, and butt look after having a baby is NOTHING like you could ever imagine. I mean yes, many ladies told me that its nothing you could ever imagine, but you don't know until it happens to you.  Luckily, I haven't had to deal with the lack of confidence for too long, NOPE my body is not at my GOAL, but it is much better than I thought it would be at 8 weeks postpartum!!

I have officially lost 36 pounds, and my sweet little one is only 2 months old! 36lbs in two months!?!?! CRAZYYY!   

Whats my secret?? Ill tell you!

I have been working out, and using portion control with the 21 Day Fix program, and drinking Shakeology DAILY.  My workouts are only 30 minutes long, sometimes 60 if I decide to do a double day. I have never felt so much confidence in my life! Before I had Larae I was working out and drinking Shakeology, and I lost 18 lbs, yes it was hard and it took time. I also had energy then. This time however, I have felt more tired (up all night, feeding pumping, taking care of a screaming baby) and drained then I ever have before, and to say that I was able to LOSE 36 POUNDS in 2 months is soooooooooooooo rewarding!! I am so proud of myself and am only 4 pounds away from my pre baby weight! 


In fact I feel SOOOOOO good that I decided to hold another challenge, that same one that has been helping me, so I can help some more ladies feel like I do!!! New Mommy Moments- Losing Weight After Baby

Hello Ladies && gentleman...?..!!

I first wanted to take a second and say I am sorry for not updating everyone last week on how everything has been going,  I have had a TOUGH week/ week and a half. 

Here is a little back ground on my life for new readers. 


My name is Stephanie Lapinski, I am a Beachbody Fitness and Health Coach. I am married to an amazingly supportive man, Jesse, who works VERY hard for our family. We have 3 kids, a daughter Jade (adopted) age 14, a son Payton (step) age 8, and a newborn baby girl Larae, who is six weeks old. Together we live in a small town in Minnesota. I have been a Beachbody Coach for a little over a year, and THANK GOD I found Beachbody, because it helped us conceive our baby girl after trying for a year and a half. When I say Beachbody helped us, its because I changed my lifestyle completely, ate clean, started to workout, and drank Shakeology DAILY.  Not only has my life changed, but my family is leading a healthier more fulfilling life, and I LUCKILY have been trusted to help others change their lives as well, along with finding my DREAM job, and being able to DESIGN a life that I want to live. 

So although I have kids, I am NEW to this whole newborn mommy business. It has been a trip! I have never felt so many different emotions in my life! I could literally sit and stare at her all day long! But I have to admit, as BEAUTIFUL as this experience has been, full of snuggles, love, little baby smiles, and toots, it has been so HARD! 
I have been struggling. She will not latch (still trying), and hasn't since birth, so I have been pumping to feed her. SO my life has been feeding her, changing her diaper, rocking/bouncing/swaying her to sleep, pumping, and then getting stuff done (which leaves little time) or resting in between, then it starts all over.  I am a health and fitness coach, so I have gotten right back to work, helping my challengers & clients, along with starting my own weight loss after baby transformation. 

As a new mom you have NO time, and I'm sure everyone is different, but I have had NO time to myself. This little tooter sleeps in our bed with us, depends on me to eat, depends on me to snuggle and put her to bed, she even takes baths with me because its more soothing & relaxing for her.  So I have been having a hard time getting my healthy meals made and prepped for easy access, and have STRUGGLED with getting my workouts in. 
So what I have been doing is when she falls asleep I try to get as much house work done as possible, and the next round of sleeping after our routine (feed, change diaper, put to sleep, pump) I try to get my butt down to the kitchen to cook up a 5 pound bag of chicken, and a 1 pound thing of turkey burger, and cook up 3 pounds of broccoli, asparagus, and green peppers (my faves!). I precook all of this and put it in big containers so when I am hungry I can quickly go into the kitchen, grab my 21 Day Fix portion control cups, and scoop the food out and on to my plate to heat up.  Now I must say that I am very fortunate to have the family that I do, they are all very helpful. Once my daughter comes home from school if Larae (daughter, newborn) is sleeping or HAPPY, I have Jade (daughter,14) watch her so I can get my workout in. If I cant I try to get it in after my husband gets home, which is usually late (after 8pm) because he picks up side jobs when he can. He owns his own construction/remodeling business.  YES there are many days that I don't get a workout in, and YES there are days that I don't eat the best. I am a woman, I crave carbs.  So if you find you are STRUGGLING- Email me, message me, FB me, hit me up on IG. Weather your a new mom, a college student, single mom, married, you work full time, no matter what your situation is, we all have similar problems, or struggles and we need to stick together to help BUILD and LIFT EACH OTHER UP! :)

**My Meals on a typical day: (I usually eat the same things because its easier)

Breakfast: 2 eggs, and 1 piece of Ezekiel toast
Lunch: Tropical Strawberry Shakeology with water
Snack: Salad with Spinach, Chicken and Pico de gayo
Dinner: Typically something with chicken or Turkey burger, veggies, and potatoes.

**I try to get in at least 80oz of water.

What to bring to the hospital....First Few weeks with Baby! & 21 Day Fix Challenge, Results Here I Come! After Baby Weight loss, Made EASY!

My sweet little loud lungs (yes, she scream cries now lol) is now 3 weeks and 3 days old!

We are now pumping and bottle feeding exclusively because I could not get her to latch on really well. I think it was more stressful for both of us. I wish I could get her to breast feed, and I do still try to get her on, but its just not happening for us yet! 

As far as being a new mommy goes... It has been VERY interesting to say the least. If I am being 100% honest it is challenging. I find its hard to do much when I am pumping, then feeding her, then changing her, and getting her to fall asleep enough to lay her down. LOL 
Yes, I am a new mom and I LOVE to hold and snuggle my little angel, so she is getting a little more difficult to put to sleep. 

The second week home she was up all night and slept all day, but as of Monday she has been sleeping through the night except to eat! Which is amazing! :)

She has been more fussy though when she needs something or fighting sleep.We are co sleeping with her and she loves it, and it makes it much easier to soothe her at night along with feeding her and changing her.

 I have also been taking a bath with her, she likes it much better, she floats and kicks and makes little noises! Its so cute!! :) 

Tips for moms to be! 
Hospital Bag Items: (don't over pack, they have a lot of stuff you will need there)
MOM:
Light robe
Socks or slippers (I got slippers)
A couple pairs of comfy sweat pants
A few loose fitted tanks (I got mine at old navy)
Nursing bra
Granny panties
Shampoo & Conditioner
Body wash
Face wash
Deodorant
Perfume
Tooth Brush & paste
Hair Brush
Bobby pins
Pony tail holder
Make-up (You will want to touch yourself up for your first family photo! & feel like a lady!)
Chap stick
Lotion

DAD:
Jeans

A couple t shirts

Cologne

BABY:
A couple onesies
Pj zip ups
A going home outfit

This may be a little TMI but you will thank me!
Before you go to the hospital add these things to your shopping list so they are at your house when you get home from the hospital!
* Stool softener
* Tucks 
* Pads- the bigger ones and the smaller ones, in case you stop bleeding heavy earlier
* Granny Panties 
* Ibuprofen
*Nursing Bra with under wire and light padding (you will want to feel less like a cow and more lady like again LOL)
*Lanolin cream (for your tots, get two)
*Breast milk freezer bags
* Dr. Teals Bath salts, or the relaxing bubble bath
*Lidocain spray

If you have the energy make some meals that you can freeze for the first week, or request them from family. We had enough for two weeks and it made life so much easier!! And we had more time to spend staring at our little pretty one! :) 

FITNESS AFTER BABY
Monday was my FIRST day back at it in a challenge (I am co-hosting the 21 Day Fix Challenge) I got my program today so I have been following pintrest workouts, and watching what I am eating, along with drinking my Shakeology, yes my Doctor approves!! 



I thought I would be able to jump right into it, but to be honest I have been so sore, and tired after my workouts. If I wasn't drinking Shakeology I would have no energy. 

I am ready to start getting some results and sharing them with you!! Stay tuned for my FIRST transformation!  
And I decided to change the date for my next Fix challenge group so you can shed the pounds to prepare you for Thanksgiving! It will start November 3rd now!!!

5 Day Sneak Peek Into What a Beachbody Coach Is

Bringing Home Baby! & My NEW Weight Loss Journey

On September 21st 2014 our lives changed! 
We couldnt have been more excited, our sweet little 
Larae Elise Lapinski was born at 10:35pm. 

This picture was taken 2 day before she was born, I was 39 weeks and 2 days when she was born.
So here is a small little tid bit about how labor went. I started having contractions at 6am that morning, the quickly went from 20 minutes apart to 10 minutes apart then to 7. So my husband Jesse and I got ready called the hospital and we were on our way in. When we go there I was admitted, and we walked around the hospital to waste time and to get through the contractions. Around 2 or 3pm is when they started to get stronger so I decided to get an epidural... That didn’t work, so they decided to move it. Nope, that didn’t work either. So I got an intrathecal. That worked great, but only lasted 2 hours, so by the time I could start to feel my contractions again and called the anesthesiologist back so I could get a second shot, I thought I was going to die. It was so painful! (I know I am a wimp!)

Once I got the second intrathecal things started to move along, there was a moment where we thought we would have to do a C-section because her heart rate kept going up and down like crazy, and the had me on oxygen to help regulate it. Luckily my doctor knew how I felt about having a C-section and how I wanted to do skin to skin right away, so we didn’t have to go down that path. We then got closer to the 2-hour mark again and my doctor wanted to get her out so I wouldn’t need another shot (that would raise the risk of side effects for me). So we pushed things along and I finally dilated to a 10!!! Luckily I only pushed for about 10 minutes and this beautiful little girl arrived! 

After she was born we got her right on my chest, we waited until her umbilical cord stopped pulsating, and Jesse cut the cord! We also did skin to skin for a good hour- hour and a half before they took her to weigh her and measure her. She was 6lbs 2oz, and 18.5 inches long! 


Now time for my TRANSFORMATION!!!!!


When I walked into the hospital to have her I weighed 205lbs.... I know, how in the world did I let myself get that big, I gained 40 pounds on the dot. I know people do gain more, but coming from someone who is active, and knows how to eat healthy, how did I gain that much!?!? To be honest, I craved cereal and sweets 24-7, and I didn’t always hold back. It also didn’t help that I started this pregnancy bigger than I wanted to. Before we got pregnant with Larae, I had my second miscarriage, which was very hard on me and I really ate my feelings, we also found out it was going to be challenging to get pregnant because I had polycystic ovaries. Well, my doctor put me on metformin to help force ovulation, and BOOM two weeks later we were pregnant again! I then went in to the clinic right away and my doctor started me on progesterone (to help my placenta grow for the baby). So our journey has been a long one. Over all we tried for this little angel for over a year.

Larae is now two weeks and one day old, I have been cleared to start workingout slowly agian!!!
