I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July weekend, but now it is time to get BACK in the GROVE!!! SO here is a little motivation to get you started right! : )
How to start a Monday off right.
1. Prepare yourself on Sunday, tell yourself BEFORE you go to sleep that you are going to start strong. Write it down, or have your workout clothes out where you can see them in the morning as a reminder.
2. Start your morning with a good stretch. You don't even have to get out of bed to do this! Stretch out nice and long, Bring your arms out in front of you and then up over your head. Reach down and touch your toes, and when you stand up reach for the sky, and then down to your toes.
Why is stretching good for you in the morning? It helps increase blood flow, prevents aches and pains throughout the day, and helps increase circulation and send oxygen to your brain, helping you gain confidence in yourself and in your day!
3. Start your workout in the morning. This may be challenging, but it helps wake you up, and feel good, and confident for the day. It will help you notice what you are eating more throughout the day, and you are getting it down so there are not excuses for "doing it later".
Even if you do something short like running in place, or squats it gets your body going and ready, so you want more later for your regular workout.
4. Drink water, drink it as soon as you get up. Drinking water helps you not only stay hydrated, but also helps your metabolism, and helps you body shed water weight.
